By Lillian Tzanev
Snow-capped peaks pierce clouds.
A spring sun warms the blue sheen.
Still, la bise lingers.
Bankers and beggars
by scaffolded opulence
paying for a change.
Does Calvin watch us
from a Protestant spire?
Sinners by the Rhône.
Cobblestoned Carouge,
cheap groceries from Carrefour.
A sweet day, I think.
Webbed feet splish and splash,
tea and biscuits on the shore.
Sunrise swimmers, too.
Apéros, where suits
and soft glares fight for something.
Bittersweet petals.
