The Graduate Press is always on the lookout for new voices from the IHEID community. As an independent, student-led publication of the Graduate Institute, most of the articles published on our website and our monthly publication are submissions from the student body (and alumni). We wish to keep it this way. If you have an opinion piece, a features article, poetry, stories, photo galleries, artworks, or works you want to publish on our platform, feel free to send them to us, and support the presence of the press in the Institute.
All written submissions should aim to be around 800 to 1,200 words maximum. If you wish to submit an article beyond the given limit, do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your piece further. For photo essays, artworks, and videos, please include a brief explanation on your work.
All submissions should be in either Word (.docx) or Google Doc (.gdoc) format. Send your works to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the document, please include your name, a one- to two-sentence byline that describes who you are, and your social media handles (Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram). Place the hyperlinks as well already on the word or phrase you wish to highlight. Include as well accompanying visuals, such as images, photographs, or charts, that you would like to portray for the article header and body. Do not forget to cite them. As much as possible, we’re looking for images with a Creative Commons license.
Once the editors receive and deliberate on your piece, you will receive an estimated date for return and posting. You will also be assigned an editor, as your point of reference if you have any questions.
Should you have questions or comments, please fill in the form below and we will get back to you shortly. Many thanks for your interest in The Graduate Press.
